when itry to boot up my SV07 it boots up most of the way and then starts at the begining again and gets cought in a loop
Are you under warranty still? If not:
i think i still have the warranty and i found this
Worth a try. The Sovol boot animation plays on your Klipad?
Mine went solid black screen. Ended up with the EMMC USB adapter and put the newer Armbian version on it.
I actually have a brand new Klipad 50 on my desk sent to me under warranty. While I was waiting on shipment from China I put Ubuntu Server on a Microsoft Surface tablet that I never used (worthless as a tablet) then installed Klipper on it. After a 10" screen of much higher contrast the Klipad doesnât seem worth the effort to move the new board into the old case.
ya the boot animation plays but it still just loops
and the firmware reset did not work ether it asked me to select a time zone and stuff and then i hit next it tryd to boot and looped again
Do you think it might be the power supply?
Something I discovered on accidentâŚ
The board will 100% boot and run if you plug into the hidden USB-C port labeled âDOWNLOADâ.
You have to open the case to access it. A phone charger works fine. I was going to mod my case to use it but decided to open a support ticket instead.
Do you think that would fix my problem?
It wonât âfixâ anything. It might get you printing while you wait for a new board.
I think it might be a power supply issue because there was a weird humming/grinding nois coming from inside the base that would start when I would preheat it and would go away in about 30 seconds and it very well could have been the power supply fan
It had been doing it for about a month and it just kept working so I donât change anything
Itâs possible your PS is dropping out repeatedly but the heaters and motors are off during boot. It seems unlikely the PS would work enough to start to boot then quit/restart over and over.
As you are under warranty, email to info@sovol3d.com with your order number, your explanation, and pictures.
Theyâll be back to you quickly.
It is better to do this than to damage your printer further.
Sp I sent an email to sovol explaining the problem but right after I did that my printer gave me this screen after changing nothing
So:
- Armbian is booted
- Klippy service is running
- Moonraker is running
- KlipperScreen is loaded and connected to Klippy via Moonraker.
Almost home. It seems the version of printer.cfg loaded on your Klipad isnât correct.
The easiest way to fix it is via Moonfaker or Fluid.
Do you have Orca Slicer configured to connect to the printer over WiFi? Does it connect now?
I had this problem a while back and, if I recall correctly, reflashing the BIOS:
I also had another issue where I resolved it by deleting one of the cfg files⌠I was able to reach it by going to its IP address and then the âMachineâ section.
James
I had it fixed when it gave me the error it would let me go into settings and I hit factory reset but now like a week later its in the loop again
I canât reach it by wifi anymore because its in the boot loop but do you think I could reset it somehow with the USB c port labeled download?
Follow the instructions in the link in my first post.
Yes try powering it with the USB-C. I could never make a data connection with that port but it will run the board and display.
Have you opened a support ticket with Sovol?
Ya Iâm still waiting an a response from sovol I did some digging and it looks like I could use this to wipe the drive and put the OS back on it
