Brand New 07 (Not Plus) faulty

I have just bought a 07 and have just finished building it. Doing the bed levelling and the bed does not move. I have checked all of the connections and cannot see anything blocking it, but it does not move at all. I am assuming it is duff.

Yes I have done that

Well now I wish I had never bought this pile of junk. Now the screen doesn’t work and Sovol support are asking me to video the bed motor making a grinding noise, which I can’t do because the whole unit is dead. Asked for either another printer or my money back, and they now ignoring me. The printer is brand new and I can’t even do the initial levelling!
I should have bought an Ender printer.

Check the fuse between the pug & the switch.

There is power to the unit, the green light on the screen is on.

If the whole unit doesn’t move, either the power supply is dead, or the stepper motors or the motherboard are dead (very rare), or, more surely, the wiring is wrong.
So, at the beginning, check the assembly of your printer using the corresponding video, especially the wiring. Then check your power supply. A lighted LED does not mean sufficient power for the printer.
Finally, open the motherboard box and check if all the cables are properly plugged in or if some are unplugged.

The issue is the screen is dead as in the o/s doesn’t load. After a bit of research I logged into the screen and can see that I get 4 or 5 ethernet errors and then it times out. I finally bit the bullet and am waiting for an EMMC usb reader to turn up so I can reflash the prom.
The original issue before the screen gave up is the bed motor makes a loud grinding noise when I try to run the initial calibration.
As I have written before this printer is brand new and DOA. Even though on Sovol’s website it says I can return in 14 days etc, they are not interested. I asked them to either replace the printer or refund my money, and they don’t respond!

Have you opened a ticket at info@sovol3d.com with your order number?

Yes I have opened a ticket

@sovol3d

Could you do something for him?

Video of my printer issue, and yes I have checked the belt tension.

Why don’t you send this video to Sovol?
It’s why they want for the guarantee.

I have just sent them the video as well. I have just flashed the prom to get the printer to come back to life.

And now they want me to start stripping the printer down to the main board and also move motors about. That is not happening as this printer is brand new, so I have asked them again to either replace the printer or give me my money back!

I have anyway taken the base off - should have warned be about the fan connection - and swapped the X and Y cables, and it is definitely the motor that is at fault. I am assuming any spares will have to come from China and I don’t want to be waiting weeks for spares to turn up.

We are just users trying to help out other users.
Whatever is happening with you & Sovol main, is between you & Sovol…we can’t ask or get your money back. So posting your frustrations here on the forum, doesn’t do anyone any good.
Sovol has their process & you…just like every other user has to go through their process.
Just be patient & do what they ask.

We’re so sorry for the bad experience caused. Can you give me your order number and e-mail account by message? I contact the technician to help you solve the problem.
