Zero not extruding past hotend (tried fixes from other forums)

I had the issue where some fillament leaked out and got all over the heat block and other parts. After a full disassemble and reassemble trying to clean most of it off i made sure there were no clogs and got ready to run it again. When trying to load fillament it would catch on the gears and extrude a bit but then get stuck (i estimate this to be getting stuck right before the hotend). if i retract the fillament it comes back up untouched and exactly how it was when i loaded. I’ve messed around with the tension screw and tried other recommendations to clean the gears and check for debris etc. Any suggestions?

dissasembled again and it looks like the fillament comes out of the gear section at a slight angle? It gets through the hole connected to the gears but then i’m pretty sure it’s getting stuck right before the hotend block

Hi @sethiscool2
Maybe it’s related to this issue where the gear pin works its way out a bit. The cover @Lion recommended works well.

If that is not the issue, loading on the zero can be a bit fussy, I will generally try to remove the curve in the filament for the first bit, and a 45 degree cut for the filament works wonders.
Just search for filament cutter on your favorite site.

Welcome to the forums! :tada:
