Is there a trick to getting good adhesion on the textured PEI plate?
I can get good adhesion on the smooth plate with easy removal of brim and skirt using a probe Z-offset of 1.90. However, that just floats over the textured side, with no adhesion and no squish. I had to change the probe Z-offset to 2.25 to get adhesion. However, that makes getting single layer brim very hard to remove if it does not come off with the rest of the print.
Leave the Z-Offset the same for Smooth & PEI Sheets…
Change the First Layer Height to 0.3…it will give you more “squish”.
If you find it too much for Smooth Plates, change it back to 0.2.
If you printing objects that need better tolerances on the 1st layer..like Print In Place or screw holes..use 0.2.
And you can add hairspray or glue to the plate before printing.
