Z offset at 379.5 after good print

After 2 really good prints, change the magnetic plate like the first. Now the extruder is burring itself in the print plate. I have not found a way to change it. Its seems every operation has to run through homing and it just buries Z. Sorry new to this machine. It says that offset is at 379.5 not sure how it got to that. Not sure how to change tried everything on the net nothing worked, any ideas ?

Can you be a little more clear on this…
did you change to a different plate or clean the plate…??

different all ready for new print

what the plate have to do with it

Because with Sovol’s probes, you have to use a metal plate.
This is why I asked for clarity, if your using a non-metal plate…this is your issue.

hey Lion Thanks your comment made me think. I have 3 filament printer I trade mag plates on them and cut a big one up for my smallest and have never had a single problem they run 24/7. This machine can only use its plate that won’t work for me. 2 reasons Time being the first having to go threw all the plates, the 2nd is the no go for me; they have a switch of some kind that senses their bed. How much money do you think in engineering a lone not counting getting ready for manufacturing. Now if they though of the customer wouldn’t a button that raised and lowered Z without changing anything to get it out of the way there are so many other things but a plate sensing platen. may be I wrong

There are users that have converted over to a BL Touch & mounts on Printables…
But I don’t have any info on what’s involved, as I’m still learning Klipper.
