Printer Comparison

However, the supply and price issue is likely a self-inflicted problem in the US and not Sovol’s fault. Everything is available in Europe.
Yes, the SV07 uses the KliPad on a standard board. The SV06 can also be upgraded with it. But with the “HighSpeed” Marlin, it’s just as fast.
There seem to be some issues with the K1 nozzles. Depending on the manufacturer, the thread is sometimes too short.

I’m aware of the K1 nozzle substitution, however some versions bottom the back of the hex on the headblock and leak.

There is ABSOUTLY no reason to create a new nozzle design so close to the K1 and Volcano except to sell nozzles

Not a fan of the proprietary nozzle idea, but I understand it from a business perspective. Keeps people coming back after the initial sale of the printer. Can’t print without nozzles.

@jbob
Did you make a decision..??

Yep. I ended up getting the SV06 Plus Ace. It should be here by the end of this week. Thank you to everyone for their input. Much appreciated.

It’s understandable to want to retain customers with your own nozzle if you also offer the required selection. Brass nozzles are available in all sizes. Nickel-plated nozzles or nozzles with carbide inserts are not available. Hardened steel nozzles are only available in 0.4mm. This selection is a bit too limited. I would have expected a bit more choice. Whether a third-party supplier will expand the range remains to be seen. I haven’t found anything yet. There’s a similar problem with the print bed supports. Other manufacturers offer a much larger selection.
