Pre-purchase SV06ACE or T300 or SV07plus

Hello,
I want purchase 3d printer, i hesitate between SV06ACE and T300 and SV07plus.
I specify that i am newbie in 3d printer.

We dont have full technical information in Sovol website.
-SV06ACE and SV07 are opensource, but T300, it dont have information.
This can be important if you want to modify the machine, for example to add an extruder or replace the extruder with a laser.

-SV06ACE and SV07plus we dont have the weight, for me: more weight= more stability and more solid (less plastic)

-In this forum, i see SV06ACE et more good than SV07 at the mechanical level

-In T300 we have Resume printing in case of power failure but no information in SV06ACE and SV07plus

-For the power supply in SV07Plus: 600W, SV06ACE: 360W, but why T300: 150W? Less power=Slower heating

-Do you have see other difference than printing size?

Thanks

Big prints are cool but they take forever and fail more often than smaller prints

My recommendation for a starter printer (in the Sovol line) is the SV06 and Orca Slicer.

When you first start out your first challenge is learning the slicer software. That process is much simpler with a simple and stable printer. The Solvol copy of the Prusa design is just such a printer.

The SV06 (non plus) uses an old school MK8 hot end. Nozzles are cheap and available in hundreds of sizes and styles. Experiment and learn.

After you get to the point where swapping SD cards is the biggest pain point scrounge up a low performance PC (Pi or an old laptop) and get Octoprint working.

Then when 90% of your prints work first try upgrade to Klipper and see how fast you can make it go. Put on a high flow hot end and max it out.

Then you’ll know what you want your next printer to be.

Thanks for your comment, but i don’t want to use a old slow Marlin based 3d printer.
I have see the Nozzle problem, but i plan to try using SV07 nozzle (generic nozzle) on SV06ACE or T300, i just 0.5mm difference. If it dont work, i can buy an sv08 (same) nozzle adaptor on aliexpress for use more standard nozzle.
For the sd file transfer problem, this is Marlin problem, on Klipper, we have internet acces to network.
To tell you the truth, when I will receive my future printer, I will make a box around the printer to have stable temperatures and to be able to print more solid filaments like ASA or PP to make functional mechanical parts.
Thanks

Hello,
Are you really a newbie or not?
@cardoc’s advice is spot on.
If you’re a beginner, first learn to print with an old-school machine like the SV06 or SV06+, then switch to the klipper.
Otherwise, jump to a klipper machine. The ACE (plus or not) are excellent machines. They are often used and commented on this forum.
An acquaintance of mine has a T300 and is very happy with it.
Nobody has all the chains, so it will be difficult to make a reliable comparison.
In any case, if you need help, you’ll find it here.

Hello,
Yes, i a newbie. But i am open spirit, and i understand all problem before test it.
Ask me to use old-school machine is same to ask to a children to use old minitel before use internet, because you know very well minitel and not know very well internet.
For me this is use time and money for nothing.
Maybe the machine references I want are too recent to get any opinions.
Thanks

Your comparison is wrong.
There are enough parameters for prints to fail, regardless of Marlin or Klipper.
These parameters need a lot of time to be understood.
So there’s no point in adding Klipper right away, unless you regard Klipper as a black box.

If you have never driven a car a Lamborghini is a poor choice.

You WILL have to maintain the machine. Load cells and eddy probes are complex systems. Communication issues with an “extra_mcu” in the tool head will break your fancy printer while the SV06 chugs happily along. AND when your ready bolt on a turbo (the SV06 will happily run Klipper)
