We have a new sv06 plus printer. It has a metal bed under an adhesive plastic sheet. Are object supposed to be printed on the sheet or directly on the metal plate? We tried both ways. Both ways the object doesn’t get totally printed. It gets moved out of its original location. When it’s on the plastic sheet the edges of the sheet curl up during the printing. That probably contributes to the object moving although I can’t explain why it moves on the metal plate. Are we doing something wrong? I would like to know before I post a review on Amazon.
Hi,
I don’t know what this plastic sheet is.
Are you sure it’s not a protection for the bed.
Normally the bed have 2 metallic sides, one textured the other one smooth.
The sensor proximity is magnetic and can work only with metallic plate.
Regards
It must have been the protection for the bed. It was plastic. We tried it on the textured side. The model boat held for a while but after about an hour it was knocked over.
After removing the plastic, did you re-calibrate your printer…??
Re-do the Bed Leveling & the Z-Offset.
We did. That didn’t solve the problem. Just now we tried raising the nozzle temperature by 5 degrees. That worked! My son is happy!
Hi,
Do you know that before using a new filament, you must calibrate all these parameters (temperature, speed, retraction, etc.).
It’s possible to do it from a lot of slicer (cura, superslicer, ideamaker, etc.).
We didn’t calibrate from Cura or Slicer. We calibrated with the settings available on the printer screen. Is that OK?
No, that’s not what I’m talking about.
You need to make prints to determine each parameter of your filament like, for example, a temperature tower, a 20mm cube, etc.
For instance, if you use IdeaMaker, take a look at this URL :
It seems tovme we can do the same directly from cura or superslicer.
Thank you for your help. We are newbies. We need to learn cura and superslicer.
if you are new, try directly orca slicer.
im done with cura because with every update it goes worse.
i use prusa slicer and orca slicer. both are one of the best slicer out there, based on slic3r.
i can also reffer some youtube producers like makers muse, where you can learn a lot
I think I had the same problem
Try sticking the plastic sheet on the shiny metal side
