I just installed a new Micro Swiss FlowTec Hotend for Sovol SV08, and I can not load the filament, what could be the issue?
The extruder doesn’t turn with the “load filament” button?
Does the hot end get hot?
Using the lever to hold the extruder feed rollers apart how far can you manually push in filament?

The filament goes more or less 10mm more into that part with the yellow circle. I think it gets stuck on the beginning of the hotend just my opinion.
I can do it manually (like the case on the picture), but also if i press “Load filament” on orca.
It just sounds like you haven’t got the tension screw adjust properly yet.
Sovol usually has their screw in almost tight. Try screwing it in, then back it off 1 turn.

What is your hotend temp..??
Try setting it manually to 240*
The temp is 250Âş..the filament PLA
i do not think it’s temp related because every time I press “unload filament” the tip of filament is the same like it was, when inserted to load…
Take the nozzle out. With it removed you should be able to push filament all the way through even when cold,
My guess something that won’t melt got into the heatbreak during shipping and installation.
Try using a cleaning filament, just to see.
the hot end is brand new unused, virgin
…I will take it out to check if has something on the way of the filament
There was something very tiny on the way, you can check the image on the +/- 10mm tube were that tiny piece of filament…
So it’s working now..??
Yes it’s working fine…testing the Micro-Swiss flowtech hotend…so far so good ![]()
Sorry to resurrect this from the dead, but I’m having the exact same issue after switching from the stock hotend over to the microswiss flowtech. Much like OP, I had a small clog on the 10mm ptfe tube that blocked everything, however my issue is that it keeps happening with pretty much every filament switch.
My sense is that it’s the small filament tube that’s causing the issue in the first place, though I’ll take a look at the tension screw when I finish work today to see if that’s the issue. If that doesn’t seem to solve the problem, is it possible to install the Hotend without the tiny PTFE tube?
Hi, when you remove the filament, do you pull it out? do you feel a bit stuck? or it comes out loose?
sometime users they do not wait for the unload filament to finish and when pulling some pieces of filament stay behind
