Do you leave your printer on, or shut it down when not in use?

I’m new to 3D printing. So far, I’ve been shutting down my SV08 when I’m finished using it for the day, but that results in the printer wanting to re-level, reset the Z offset, etc. when I turn it back on. I understand this might not be standard behavior, and could be due to custom config files put in by the guy I bought it from. I’m hesitant to reset everything to stock, since it’s printing really well.

Is there any problem with leaving the printer turned on all the time, assuming I make sure the heaters are turned off when I’m done printing? Is there a low-power “sleep mode” I can put it in, instead of turning off the main power switch? It would be great to be able to pull up Mainsail and start back in, without needing to create a new bed mesh every day.

Hi,
As I’m maniac, I stop klipper through the menu and then I turn the printer off.
Generally, most people just turn off the printer.
In any case, it’s not a good idea to leave the printer on all the time; it could be unsafe.

I shut my printers off also.
But you shouldn’t have to re-level or set the Z all the time..it should remember.
