The cable with the plug was not soldered to the thermistor properly. Unfortunately, I don’t know what kind of thermistor it is and if/where I can get it separately. The shop only sells the complete hotend.
Thank you! I’ve already written to Sovol. It’s still the New Year’s celebrations at the moment. That might take a while.
I broke mine a similar way, ended up ordering the hotend kit instead. Don’t think they sell the thermistor separate.
I just hope that this will help me repair the printer before the New Year celebrations are over. The tip to replace the thermistor comes from Sovol. Unfortunately, there is no indication of where I can get it.
Is there anything in the klipper config around what type of thermistor it is? Under the extruder section?

I just read a post that the ACE uses the same heater as the SV08. Watching the video (at the bottom of the page), I can’t be a 100% if it’s the same thermistor or not…what do you think…??

Thanks Lion! I can’t say whether the thermistor fits, but it’s very likely that Sovol doesn’t use different types. I’ll ask 3DJake if he sells the set. Then I’ll have it by tomorrow and can test it over the weekend.
I’d suggest you also check with other 3rd party providers. For instance, the ceramic heater (not the thermistor) seems to be compatible with that provided by Bambu Lab for their X1C printer (with the exception of the cable connector). Maybe other companies also use the same thermistor.
I don’t need the heater. I just need the thermistor. It should have the right resistance, diameter and connector. Sovol is the most likely to have it. 3DJake deals with Sovol. That’s why I would try that first and if not, then the Chinese New Year celebrations will be over and Sovol can help me.

So we still don’t know if the thermistor for the SV08 will work or not.
Sorry. That’s just the way it is. I got a complete hotend. I have no idea what kind of thermistor it is. It’s not an SV06 ACE, it’s the Plus. So at least they have the same parts.
But the printer is printing again.

I don’t have a comparison. I have a new hotend, and the problem is fixed. Perhaps Sovol can answer this for us. Then we won’t have to replace the entire hotend. Thanks.
