Thermistor Information or replacement

My thermistor is reading high when it should be ambient. I have unplugged it (it knows when it’s removed) and reconnected it with no change in the reading wiggled the wires , so Does anybody know the spec of or an alternative thermistor for the SV08 that will fit please, as I’m having trouble finding one (and yes I have emailed Solvo as they are not listed in their site)

You probably already saw this, but not a bad price for the kit.

in the SV08 printer.cfg Sovol has it defined as follows:

[thermistor my_thermistor_e]
temperature1:25
resistance1:110000
temperature2:100
resistance2:7008
temperature3:220
resistance3:435

TriangleLabs ships their SV08 hotend with a Generic NTC 3950

That’s a Close match to the hard coded values above. It is easy to change the thermistor type in printer.cfg

Ending up with a spare heating element wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.

Cheers, but this is my first Klipper printer. I have a Bambu P1S….and I’ve only had that three weeks, so it’s a very steep learning curve. I understand that file is part of a Klipper config and editable, but I wouldn’t have a clue what to put in it. I’m also in the United Kingdom.

The easiest route is the genuine Sovol part.

Yeah, I’ve sorted that with SOVOL just now.

They were very quick with their response to my email last night

You know what it’s like though. New toy and you want it running now , and their order links are either posted from the US or china and I’m in the UK. Both of those can be slow, and I’ve been caught out before with postage (for them opening and inspecting my delivery) and duty cost from the USA.

In the meantime, I found a complete High flow hot end on Amazon UK and it will be here today .

I can either fit the whole thing (although I’d really like to make sure the printer is all ok before messing with it) or I thought, just change the thermostat.

If I fitted the high flow hot end, are there any Klipper changes I would need to make, or is it just done in the slicing software?

If you’re under warranty, you can email SOVOL at info@sovol3d.com to request a new thermistor.

Already on that, and they were very quick to help (I did respond above)

I am not in warranty (the parts are cheap anyway). I’m the second owner and only four weeks into 3D printing. I’ve had a Bambu P1S three weeks and bought this as I wanted to get into Klipper, haver a bigger build plate and have a printer I can modify/upgrade, hopefully to install a multi head tool changer.
