My Comgrow T500 won’t z-calibrate. It’s purchased it only a few months ago. I changed the print nozzle to a 0.6mm and then re-started the printer up and now the printer pushes the extruder into the bed and has to be canceled to stop it from doing this. This then causes a klipper error and the firmware has to be restarted. The leveling probe seems to be fine, the red light is on. I tried resetting it to factory specs but that did not work. Is there a fix for this?
Either your 0.6mm nozzle is lower (closer to the bed) than the old one, or you managed to move the leveling probe upwards (further away from the bed).
You need to recalibrate the Z height (but you probably know that).
Yes, I tried repositioning the probe a bit lower and when I z-calibrate it still tries to push the extruder into the plate. When I look at the position of the extruder in the klipper it thinks that its 785mm on the z-axis? I don’t know what I did to screw it up so badly. Trying to figure out how I can reset the z-axis back to 0.5 mm above the plate. Thanks for the help.
Same here … Nozzle crashed into bed
Same readings . Cant do anything. Just staring at the machine
.???
Ive got the same . But it wont let you change anything unless you home it . And then it crashes into the bed!!!1
Perhaps the Z-probe (or the wiring to it) is broken? Does it detect the bed at all?
Yes it does detect the bed . The red light is on . The detection on orca printer screen setting shows sensor detected ???
Little question, is the red light always on ?
Yes it is …i wondering can i configure and control from orca i.e set the height ! ???
Not sure it’s normal.
Normally, the light is on just when the bed is detected.
If so, your probe is probably broken.
I have nothing but issues . 80% fail. Prints . Layer shifting . Now this . Im not a engineer. £700 . Im not messing with it anymore . Unreliable . I want replace or refund under warranty. My other printers put them on and go out for day. Dont have to babysit . Worrying what next .
Did you send an email to Sovol?
info@sovol3d.com
In general, they’re efficient.
Yes ive sent several .And they have responded. But im afraid the respnses have Not yielded anything . Im being ask to do this do that . Its a brand new machine i only started using it a few weeks back . Being made to feel its something im not doing . It has a mind of its own . And i personally feel and have seen others literally take the machine apart . This is not acceptable. Its not ready for the market. And the price point is should be plug and play .
At this price, these machines often require dismantling them to understand how they work and even improve them.
To really have plug and play machines, you’ll probably have to pay double or maybe more.
That said, I understand that having a machine that always works badly can be very painful.
I here what your saying .Very painful . But if i was suppose to take it apart it should be in the advert .!!! I would never had purchased it . Double the price wouldve frankly been a much more attractive option if the machine actually works . You should not be a engineer to get a brand new electrical product to actually do the job . If my new microwave doesnt work
It goes back !!! Im not taking it apart .
I have 4 Sunlu S9 because the size of the build plate . They just work and work amazingly. Fantastic prints . Flawless .!!! Plug them in design my projects slice and print !!!
For me it ended up being the motherboard. Sovol sent a replacement after I tried all of the fixes they suggested. It was easy to replace.
I used it for 40 hours . Barely a successful print . How can i use it for business as a reliable tool if its being constantly sick??? I a buy a car and drive it out the showroom and the wheels fall off . Firstly i wouldnt buy a another and importantly they are recalled if masses have the same problem there’s a red flag right there . Slow it down … dont use a different size nozzle … surely the slicer linked to the machine would have the best recommendations in relation to that model . Just saying
