I get that Sovol does not want connectors to separate during shipping, but gluing them together makes servicing the board difficult. Even being extremely careful and trying to remove the glue before disconnecting components, I have pulled the PCB-side connector from two boards. I’m not sure if the glue is too strong or if the connectors aren’t mounted on the PCB very well. Trying to remount the connector is extremely difficult since it’s so small. And it seems like new boards are not available. West3D says they’ve been discontinued, although entire toolheads are for sale.
Sovol has to be aware that clogs and maintenance on their machines are inevitable, so why make disconnecting components from the hotend toolhead so difficult and prone to damaging the PCB?
