I was finishing a print after switching a filament when it melted and got stuck to the extruder.
I read to heat the extruder and bed a bit higher, which let me raise the gantry and pull the melted filament off the extruder.
However, I noticed after I got it off a wire was detached from the extruder. I replugged it, but was getting errors (they say the tempurature isn’t within range, but I have no way to adjust them). After a TON of resets I noticed the wire that was detached actually had the copper wire removed from the sleeve. (you can see it in the photo where the white wire is).
I couldn’t find a replacement extruder for the SV07 Plus… so I’m curious what I can do to fix!
That is the wiring to your thermistor. They are commonly available, and way, way cheaper than a new hotend. Take off the silicone rubber boot, and try to find the set screw that holds it in. Remove it and compare to what is available on Aliexpress, eBay, or Amazon.
The screws are on either side of the heat break and are recessed about 20mm. Insert hex key from the bottom (sock removed). Be sure to unplug both wire connector before removing the screws.
