Hi,
see topic, all of a sudden my printer won’t see my WIFI anymore. Nothing has changed since the last time I used the printer, no updates, didn’t even reboot the router or anything.
When I go to the network page on the screen it shows 4 or 5 WIFI connections from the neighborhood, but not mine. WIFI 2.4 works fine with phone and other things, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are separate.
Running out of ideas and patience a bit. The printer was great so far, no issues, but this is annoying me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
My two cents, at first, you should check your network with another 2,4Mhz device.
Who knows ?
Read my post again, please.
When I told you to check with a 2.4Mhz device, I was talking about a new one.
If your current devices are already connected and the SSID is hidden, the old devices continue to be connected, not the new ones.
Ah OK. The SSID is not hidden, I deleted the 2.4 connection from my phone and reconnected it and it still “sees” the router.
I think it’s not enough to remove the network from the phone. It’s possible that something will stay in the phone’s database.
But anyway, if the SSID is not hidden, trouble comes from somewhere else.
Have you tried to reboot you router (if the network is managed by its).
Yeah, I don’t know how to remove the connection from my phone so that it’s actually gone and I don’t buy a new one just to check. Pretty sure it’s not the router.
Yes, rebooted the printer it, unplugged it and let it sit for a night, all of those. Very rarely and unreliably it actually connects, but it used to just work every time I wanted it to print something and all of a sudden this strange behavior.
I wouldn’t mind connecting it via Ethernet, do you think a USB to Ethernet adapter would work?
No reason why it doesn’t work.
Just think to check and change the IP address
