SV06 Plus Ace Heater Extruder Not Heating at Expected Rate

Hello,

I have a brand new SV06 Plus Ace that got jammed on its second print. I had a spare nozzle, so I cleared out the extruder and inserted the new one. When I try to calibrate again I get the Not Heating error. In fact, it is not heating at all: stuck at room temperature.
I followed the YT video to remove the extruder assembly and take it apart. I could not see any signs of obvious damage, such as detached wires, etc.
Is there anything you can recommend? If not, I’ll just return the printer.

When you changed the nozzle, you could have damaged the ceramic heater…others before you have done the same not knowing where & where not to put the pliers or wrench.

Is the solution to get a replacement Brass Nozzle Kit, (approx $21 USD)?

I used the supplied wrench and followed the YT instructions. They did not specify any details about what might be broken. It seems like a bad design.

That’s for you to decide. you will have to pull off the sock & the metal clip holding the heater to see if it is in fact cracked or not.

Thanks for your help Lion. In the company’s YT video, they show the tech grasping the head in two ways: on the round shaft, and on the heater block. It looks safer to hold it on the round shaft since that’s metal? Is that a correct assumption? Can you tell me the right tightening torque for the nozzle?

@Lion you were right. The heater element got cracked. Sovol have been excellent and is sending a replacement!
