I had been having some issues with extrusion this morning when printing. I cold pulled my nozzles, cleaned everything, got it set back up, left it to print for a few hours and this is what I came back to. This is the second hot end that I have owned for this machine. I bought it under 3 months ago. This is a $62 part and I don’t even have the word to express my anger. The hot end is unsalvageable, the extruder gear was rubbing on the fan housing due to the buildup of filament in the rear. I have been tinkering with settings and spending a lot of time getting everything for this printer set up. I bought a filament dryer for fucks sake. It still did a ton of stringing and struggled with bed adhesion. I’m so unbelievably done with SOVOL, I’ve had nothing but problems with this printer and I wish I could get a goddamn refund.
Hi @xeno I’ve seen this guide shared for nozzle replacements on the SV06 PLUS ACE printers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXkaupU9vGM
I ran into what looks similar to the picture you shared on my Sovol Zero. When replacing nozzles, they have a heating step that has to be followed or filament leaks out of the tip like that.
Cheers,

Are you using a genuine Sovol nozzle? There are nozzles that look very similar (creality K1) but won’t seal at the top.
You CAN salvage everything excerpt the thermistor and heat duct. Use a heat gun to heat the blob until the surface is liquid. Carefully scape off the liquid surface. More heat more scraping, use cotton swabs when you get 90% of the blob scraped off.
