SV07 plus Error: heater extruder not heating at expected rate 2

Hi

After using my printer for about 10 months, I ran into an issue with the error heater extruder not heating at expected rate. The issue started like a month ago and has been getting worse recently. Now I’m not able to finish my first layer before it triggering.

I’m using orca slicer with the printer, and every time I ran into this issue, I see that the nozzle temp had glitch out for a brief period and dropped to zero. I am suspecting that I either have a bad nozzle thermistor or bad connections with the wires. I have taken the shroud off the toolhead and checked all of the wire connections there, but they all feel snug.

How should I debug or resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

edit: put 2 in title as there was another post with the same title with no answer

Most likely issue is a bad thermistor.

Set your printer to preheat ABS and watch the temperature graphs. Spikes low are “open circuit”, spikes high are a “shorted thermistor”.

I remember it spiking low, so I should change the thermistor? What is the model of the thermistor and where should I buy it (USA)?

The thermistor itself is generic. The plug and wire length are more specific.

Sovol doesn’t sell the thermistor separately. The complete heat block is available at Sovol’s Amazon store.

If you are willing to splice wires these are available
