SV06 Ace Cool Plate?

The Glacier plate for the Zero is doing just fine…
but my Frostbite plate for the A1 Mini is trashed.

The seller on Ali-Express gave me an 80% refund, so I’m happy with that.
I’m not sure if I’ll order another or not, I wrote Biqe but never heard back about the plate. The funny thing is, they did reply multiple time about another question.

Anyway, the issue started with the blue coating started to peel off around the edges. At first I noticed it around the purge line, I thought maybe I caused it using my plastic scraper. Then I took the plate off & really looked at it & saw it was happening all the way around the plate.
I never used IPA with it because they said not to on the Frostbite, so it was only soap & water.
A little while later I had a PETG print stuck to it, I let it sit over night & it just wouldn’t budge. So I put it in the freezer for about 10 min & that worked.
A few days later I noticed the peeling was worse & it looked like it was starting to bubble, I think the freezer made it worse.
I know I was going to have to trash this plate soon, but kept using it.
A few weeks later I had another print stick to it & had to freeze it again for 15 min. most of the print came off except the center piece.
I flexed the plate a little more then I normal would & I heard the print crack free. I grabbed the print to pull it off & it ripped half the coating off.
Well, that was that. I knew it was on it’s way out, I just didn’t expect that.

I really didn’t need them in the first place, I just wanted to try them out.
The Glacier I bought from Biqu on sale, the Frostbite was 3 times more, so I bought that from Ali-Express. I don’t think it was fake, they did give me most of my money back.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to buy another one or not.

Well that’s unfortunate that your frostbite plate is trashed now. Maybe you got a defective plate where the coating wasn’t adhered correctly or just got unlucky.
I have thousands of hours on frostbite plates across 9 machines and am still using the original sides on all of them. While a bit discolored now, they’re all holding up great.
I use 35C bed temp, a slight +Z offset (not at home now but believe it’s between 0.07-0.1mm) for both my Bambu’s and Sovol’s, and typically either flex the plate or use the Bambu scraper to remove parts. I mainly print PLA but have done a few PETG prints and maybe remember them being harder to remove. Regardless, I think having the proper Z offset may be the key to making it stick just the right amount without sticking too much.
I have purchased from both Aliexpress and directly from Biqu and they seem the same and it’s nice their support helped you out some. It’s a bit of a luxury, but helps to keep power consumption and room temp down when you have multiple machines running. I’m still using the OEM plate on my SV06 ACE PLUS but it’s been tempting to get a HD2 plate and cut it down.
Either way, maybe give it another shot and see what happens. I think they were on sale this week so you might find a deal. Let me know if you have more questions about them.

Lol! Those sales are hard to pass up. You’d be losing money if you didn’t!! That’s the line I’m going with at least when my wife finds out I have 2 more 06 ACE’s now that they’re down to $240…
