Hi guys,

What’s the latest firmware for the SV01 and how do I install it?

Currently running Merlin 2.0.0-BL Touch have found 2.0.5.3 on coptertec but I also see 2.0.9.2 on GitHub but there’s no hex file just a load of c++ that I don’t understand :face_with_peeking_eye:

Can anyone talk me through how to install it or am I best to leave well enough alone as it’s above my level of expertise?

I’m usually quite tech savvy buy I’ve fell a bit behind the times and am new to this end of things.

I have just installed 2.0.5.3 using Cura and have downloaded the 2.0.9.2 but can’t figure out how to install it :rofl:

Do you have a knob screen or a touch screen?

I’d recommend you compile your own firmware to get the latest Marlin planner engine but not risk someone posting a bad version.

The process is long but really not that complex. The Marlin Autobuild add in eliminates virtually all mistakes.

Get the correct files directly from Sovol’s github

Copy them over the defaults Marlin downloaded and build.

I’ve got the knob screen will study that tomorrow as it’ll be a job for another day :sweat_smile: have finally got my touch sensor working with 2.0.5.3 so I think I’ll try get back to some printing before I try change anything else as this has been stressful enough :person_facepalming:

Thanks for the info though and it’ll definitely be my next project
