Ok so we just bought the sv04 off a college kid I. Town… no books on it and we r new to this machine. We have a Bambu A-1 with no issues. I think I got the leveling fixes using you tube to figure that out but now when we try to print the simple cube the left extruded will do several passes just fine but when the right extruded goes to move in to do its part the violently crash and grind against each other so I have to move the left one out of the way in which when they go to change back the left extruder stays in the home position but extrudes the filament like it actually printing. I am so confused, we got this one being excited to be able to print 2 colors… but I haven’t been anole to print a thing but blobs or a rat nest. Please help a newbie out. I really want to learn but even findings places to get files from for this machine is driving me crazy. Is there a free program that will work with this printer and easy for a newbie to learn with? Thank you for any help on this.
Have you read back through this forum?
What firmware is on your machine?
What slicer are you using? Does that slicer natively support the SV04?
The SV04 is kind of in a class by itself. The wiki has the manual and some troubleshooting help.
I strongly recommend you locate and install the latest firmware from @Bjoern
I had this years ago, it is a firmware issue for sure, that’s what fixed mine.
Thank you so much as I said really new to this and google was not my friend for some reason. ![]()
I run the John Carlson firmware on mine and it’s sound
the firmware currently on my printer is V1.1.0 I have tried watching videos on how to up date. i guess i am not downloading or moving it to the SD correctly or something. I have tried to look through the forum but keep running into a brick wall when entering for a SV04 I keep finding information for a sv06 or sv 08.
