I’ll try to be brief:
I bought an SV06 ACE Plus about a month ago. It worked really well for a number of weeks. Then it started making prints that looked like the filament was wet. This was a surprise as the filament hadn’t changed storage or humidity, but following the advice of others, I built a filament drying box. It didn’t help.
Finally, I took the hotend apart and sent the photo to Sovol. They agreed with my thoughts, the hotend had a leak somewhere. They agreed to send a new one. This is where the problems started.
I asked how they would send the part. The issue is, I live in a very rural area. USPS will only deliver to a PO Box. FEDEX and UPS will only guarantee delivery to my street address. They will not guarantee delivery to a PO Box. I told all of this to Sovol, at least a half dozen times in email. They said they were sending the parts by USPS and sent a tracking number.
About a week goes by and I asked when they would send the parts, because the USPS number still showed the parts hadn’t shipped. they responded saying they had been delivered and sent me a UPS tracking number showing delivery. They used the USPS PO Box for UPS. I went to the post office, and as I feared, they said they returned the package to sender, as they always do if it is improperly sent (USPS does not take UPS deliveries in my town).
Now I’m stuck. I’ve been out of commission for weeks. I cannot trust Sovol to understand addresses correctly. My only option at this point is to ask my credit card company to get involved.
Is this a typical experience with Sovol customer service? If so, these machines are essentially worthless.
Please let me know. If typical, I will have AMEX solve the issue. If one time mistake, I’ll give them a chance to make it right.
