Since I got my printer 6 months ago it has been a nightmare to get the bed level. I must have spent at least 24 man hours trying to get this to work and I am requesting some help and handholding.
What I have tried:
- Silicon spacer mod replacing the outer 4 spacers
- Z axis alignment by fine tuning the motor screws using an empty soda can, going back and forth until level.
- Kapton tape in the random low areas mostly around the periphery of the board
- Octoprint mesh visualization, which after fine tuning and getting the mesh near perfect, the 1st layer was still uneven as if nothing was done at all.
At present I have gotten it to the point about 70% of the bed is level but still isnt good enough. I ignored the mesh visualization now. I have a high area about 2-3 inches wide spanning the entire Y direction on my board that is centered over the left 2 center screws, causing rough print texture. I have another random area on the lower right of the build plate that is high. I also have one small area on either side of the edge of my build plate that is low causing poor line adhesion.
Please if anyone has any knowledge I would greatly appreciate it so I dont just quit this printer all together.
