Issues after installing upgrades on my Sovol SV01

Hello everyone,

I have owned a Sovol SV01 for a long time and am generally very happy with my printer.

After some time, I replaced the original mainboard with the silent mainboard, which worked perfectly.
A while later I replaced the normal display with the touchscreen display, which also worked.

Last but not least, I bought the Auto-bed Level sensor directly from sovol and got one from Creality.
I then installed it according to the instructions and customised the firmware to the now one from the Sovol download center.
Unfortunately this was unsuccessful. Since then I can no longer start the printer. the display remains dark. I can flash the firmware of the display, this runs through but after removing the SD card and starting the printer the display remains black.
Cura also no longer recognises the printer via USB.
Does anyone know about this and can give me support on how to get my printer up and running again?
Thanks and best regards

Many things could be your issue.

Was the last thing you did before it bricked is flash the firmware?

I’d go back to Sovol’s github and download the original source. You’ll have to recompile for the motherboard you are using. unplug the CR touch at the mainboard and see if it will boot.

Where did you get the touchscreen? Did it need new mainboard firmware when you installed it?

Yes, I have flashed the device according to the software version after installing the upgrade components.
It has worked fine so far, but unfortunately not since installing the CR-Touch.

The display is the original display from Sovol as an upgrade for the ā€˜old’ display with button.

I have tried to reflash it several times, but unfortunately I can’t get it to work.

It would be possible to rebuild the CR-Touch, but I would like to get all the upgrades working.

The SV01 with BLtouch firmware you downloaded is for the original mainboard.

Where did the firmware for the ā€œsilentā€ board come from? That board should have refused to accept the firmware you tried to flash. Unplug the CRtouch and see if it will boot to the old firmware.

The display firmware is a completely separate system.
