I’m having an issue with my Sovol SV06 Ace printer. It worked perfectly before, but now when I try to home the printer (0, 0, 0), the head crashes into the bed and keeps pushing down as if the Z-end stop isn’t working. This causes a loud noise from the stepper motor.
I’ve already tried:
Restoring the factory settings – the problem persists.
Removing the foam under the bed to rule out mechanical obstructions – no change.
This also happens during calibration when the printer tries to move to the 0, 0, 0 position.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Could it be a faulty Z-end stop sensor or a firmware issue? Any suggestions on what else I should check or fix would be greatly appreciated.
I didn’t change anything. The printer finished printing, and within 10 minutes, I transferred another file to the USB drive for the next print. When I started the print and the printer moved to 0, 0, 0, it crashed into the bed. I immediately turned off the power when it hit the bed.
It’s not the file’s fault. The same thing happens when calibrating from the menu. When pressing the home button in the menu, it still goes into the table
It’s not 0,0,0 though. Sorry my mistake. In the menu I click the home option everything works fine but when the Z axis starts going down it suddenly goes into the table.
Hello,
Open a ticket on info@sovol3d.com with your order number and all your explanations, even pics or videos if you can.
They will answer you within a week (after the Chinese New Year holidays i.e. February 3rd).
When i used my sovol printer for the first time it also crashed into the bed. The couplers were to high. Because of that the loadcell censor did not reach the bed. (like 1mm space.)
Adjusting the couplers fixed the issue with my printer.
