How do we control the hotend cooling fan speeds?

I’m trying to print with some SUNLU PLA. I’ve been able to reset my extruder and bed temps for this filament (225C and 70C respectively), but the prints are not sticking because the parts cooling fan is always running at 100%.

Is it possible to add a fan % value to the GCODE for a print, or to the PLA material definition in Cura?

I am running pla at 200 , 60 with no problems. those temps I use on petg.
you can control the speed of the fan by editing the gcode file at the M106 S225 #is 100%
S128 is 50%.

Sorry I don’t know Cura enough to advise you on it.

I think the cooling in the Cura is for the fan cooling model. But for cooling the heatsink, have no idea.

Okay - I found the M106 setting as well as directions for updating the values in the “Print Settings” of Cura. It seems that the values set in the material settings for the printing temperature are not applied to a sliced object and must be applied manually.

I’m running a test print using manually crafted changes to the gcode - M106 S128 (50%) and M104 230.
