This is new out of the box with no firmware update done by me (purchased a week ago) Seems to be working properly but the firmware version says V.0.0.0 or something like that (not in front of it) Why would it not show the version that came from the factory ? Or am I in the wrong track ?

Have you gone to the website, downloaded the most recent firmware and reflashed it?

All SV06 printers manufactured prior to November 2023 shipped with version 1.0.0-06. I ordered mine from Amazon in January 2024, and it had obviously been on the shelf for a while, since that’s what it had. If you go to the Sovol 3d home page and navigate to downloads, you will find 2.0.0A_2.24.bin. Download that and place it on a blank Micro SD card that has been formatted with 4096 byte blocks. Put in the card, turn on the printer and it will flash the firmware to the new version. You will get an error message about the EEPROM. Just tell it to initialize. When it gets back to the main Sovol screen, turn off the printer, take out the card, turn it on again, and you’ll have a printer like those manufactured more recently. You’ll have to redo any custom settings.
