Batch revisions / Magnetic Exhaust Fan Cover doesn't stick?

There seems to be some subtly different hardware revisions/batches, but I’m unclear on all the differences.

have the magnetic version of the cover (not the clip-on in the github CAD), and there are magnets in the cover, but not on the shroud so it doesn’t stay in place so I’ve been running open this whole time (no carbon filtration or restriction). Anybody else run into this? What’s the best fix?

What other differences are there?

Other distinguishing features

  • Rear spool
  • White Sovol text on top beam
  • Shipping box does NOT mention v1.4
  • US purchase from sovol3d.com in August

This is a little confusing, the cover & the shroud would be the same thing..??
Carbon filter is on the lower back right side, unless your talking about something else..??

Received my Zero on March 29th US order direct as well. Same the shipping box does not show V1.4.

I had no issues with things holding together, it is all loosely fit, but holds when in place.

Magnets in the four corners for the cover and screws are in the shroud for the cover to stick to. Carbon filter cover is a slip in groove type, but very loose.

Thanks Mike. Looks like we have the same carbon cover, shroud grill, and vent cover. Mine just doesn’t have any screws! Fan was simply wedged in there (admittedly it was in there tight. Wasn’t gonna go anywhere, wasn’t ratting).

Simple fix, but worrisome. Makes me worried about cutting corners and/or lack of QA.

NP glad it helped. Also kind of wondering what’s holding the fan in behind the shroud? Agree QA or lac of missed something. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
