Adhesion

Been printing on this machine all week with no problems. Then last night, it decided that the print wouldnt stick to the bed.
Took the PEI sheet off, thoroughly washed it with dish soap, did a Z Align, set the Z offset, and then did an auto bed level.
Still the prints aren’t fully sticking to the PEI sheet.

You really need to scrub sometimes, you really need something that will dug in a little.
These work well, I pick them up at the grocery store.

Thank you. I think this could well be the solution.
Changed the z offset, made it slightly smaller. The brim seemed much better, but the print failed in the same place again.
Just been on Amazon coincidentally (0330 here - cant sleep…). And found those scourers on the UK site. May order later plus need to find my isopropyl alcohol I’ve put somewhere lol
I’ll try and get back to sleep and look into ordering those and finding the IPA when i get up.

I hope you were able to sleep.
Printing isn’t so important.

I agree with that :sleeping::sleeping:

I’ve forgotten what proper sleep is lol
I’m awaiting a hip replacement and sometimes the pain keeps me up. Hopefully it will be done in next two months :crossed_fingers:

Good luck and get well soon

I get my 1st of 3 gel shots in my knees in the morning…what fun it is getting old.

I’ve had cortisone injections in my right knee for OA. Didn’t do much tbh.

Cortisone doesn’t work on me. If the gel doesn’t work the only other option is replacement.

Anyway…back to the thread topic.

Side note: few months back had a noisy fan on SX06. Your recommendation using a Can of Air and it worked great. Thanks again.

The scour daddy and some IPA worked brilliantly

Try soap & water with pad, dry plate, then wipe down with IPA.
