Zero First Layer Issues - FIXED

RGBW is snazzy. I like plain old functional white light. The inexpensive stock camera does much better with a lot of light, and my old eyes prefer a lot of light as well.

I didn’t have any problems with the stock Sovol nozzles but I’ve been using Microswiss nozzles.

A four tool head INDX system on the Zero in my office would allow me to keep TPU-LW, ABS-CF, PLA and PETG all loaded and ready to go… particularly if I had a four spool filament dryer that would maintain low relative humidity. I’m very slowly building up a small print farm with Zero printers, hopefully going online mid to late spring, and they wouldn’t need INDX, although it would be very good if I could replace the stock extruder that has a long melt zone and not completely confined filament path with an extruder that was better for printing TPU. The Zero extruder seems optimized for printing Rapid PLA as fast as possible.

Heh, i respect that
i only use the tools i already have and am use to … on the other printer i played around with the led effects for 3 days … just to settle for total basic settings for the daily use
i had no problems with the original nozzle either, especially as i never used the hardened steel one
i just dislike hardened steel nozzles but love to print abrassive filaments :stuck_out_tongue:
So far i’m suprised how well the extruders handles TPU but i’m only a couple of prints and raised the speed several times.
i was looking at other toolheads but so far it works too well to justify throwing it away
theres a project which reuses the parts to add a filament cutter … but the documenation is lacking, but this would be one step towards more conveniend filament changes
but i will also keep an eye out for pictures of your INDX Zero
