Y stepper motor warning overheating

Hi everyone. I recently built a enclosure for my sovol sv06 plus ace to start printing abs and everything when pretty well for like 3-4 printings then I started getting warnings about the mcu getting overheated and I just ducked up the mcu fan not a big deal but after that I tried to print again and after a few minutes of printing always get a warning of Y stepper motor overheating, check the motor and is really hot to touch compared to both X and Z. Then i give up on the enclosure and put the printer outside and still after few minutes of printing I still get the warning of overheating on Y motor and still getting to hot even out of the enclosure. Is there anything I might be missing or a way to lower the voltage on that motor so it runs less hot? Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

With the power off does the bed move easy/smooth/quiet over the full length of the rails?

Yes when power is off bed move freely. One thing a notice later today is that after the motor gets cold from the machine being off for a while a soonest i turn the machine on it only take around 10 to 15 minutes for the Y motor to get really hot even on just calibrating the machine not printing at all. And i get the warning of overheating and after i get that message I can’t do nothing else but restart it. You might think the motor could be shorted and moving at the same time? Anyway I was checking on sovol website for a replacement on the Y stepper motor for the sovol sv06 plus ace and I couldn’t find it the one kit they have clearly said Y motor not compatible with sv06 plus ace.

Thanks for the suggestion leon, I did send them an email but I don’t know how efficient is the customer service. That’s why I came to the forum looking for help in case someone have experience this kind of issue before. I have some pictures of the actual error just in case I didn’t explain myself correctly before. I will really appreciate if anyone can help me out in this situation. Btw i did notice today after trying to get the printer to work I checked the stepper motor based on a youtube video for shorter and it seems to be fine also checked the wires from the mcu to the motor and also fine but sometimes weird I noticed is the motor was getting hot even without being used just by the printer being on an everything cold to touch after around 10 minutes i got the warning and the motor was really hot. Im starting thinking that maybe a shorter in the board at this point. Thanks for the help to anyone that can help me out.

I was getting similar warnings and it ended up being my motherboard fan going out. Sovol replaced it, just had to wait for it to arrive

Thanks for answering angurisneo i was emailing back and forth with the customer service at sovol. And after performing some tests they suggested me they diagnose that could be a few factors. Starting for the motherboard fan that it wasn’t performing correctly that could elevate the case to fryer the Y stepper motor or fryer the motherboard driver. Anyway they already told me they will send me a new Y motor, a new motherboard fan and a new motherboard just in case. I will try each one of them starting for the motherboard fan and i will let the community know what the issue was. I just have to wait for the part to arrive to start replacing them.

thanks all the ones that took their time to read and reply to the post to help me fixing this issue.

I had to replace the fan in my ACE, so starting with the fan is the easiest solution.
It is just a standard 4010. Just be careful with the screws, make them snug, not tight.
