After successfully installing the klipper screen I tried to get some test prints done, at first the print wasnt adhering to the bed, then the filament stopped coming out all together when I tried again. The filament feeds into the extruder about an inch or 2, the extruder wheel spins, but the filament doesnt progress through the extruder, It retracts easily though, it seems as if the gears carry my filament through up until a certain point, there are no clogs as Ive tested that with my extruder declogging stick.. is my extruder broken?
Definitely an issue within the gears or something; extruder stops pulling in the filament after about 6mm and no further than that. No clogs.
Pull The lever back & push the filament down into the extruder manually.
I would go say the problem may not be related to klipper but there is one or two little grub screws that can come loose in your extruder gear holding it on the shaft and its quite a common issue for them to become loose , check that is tight as that will stop your extruder pushing out filament 100% , second i would look at Bassamanator’s Klipper macros and make sure you follow the setup to level the gantry with the G34 macro which sends your gantry to the top of the printer for leveling , because the sv06 is so big it has a tendency to creep out of alignment so running the macro every now and again keeps it level, then adjust your z height so your getting a nice squished first layer , moving forward from that calibrations for pressure advance , pid tune for your hotend and bed temps, the sv06 plus on klipper is a power house once you dial in the settings , and check your printer config for the extruder stepper motor settings should look something like this but pressure advance and PID tunes will vary between printers so only use mine as an example :

For my part, to maintain synchronization between the two Z-axes, I use this:
https://cults3d.com/fr/modèle-3d/outil/synchronisation-de-l-axe-z-pour-la-sovol-sv06-plus
oh had not seen that one before , that’s actually pretty clever solution , hows the belt joined ?
thanks for sharing .![]()
There is a pulley at the top of each Z-rod.
The belt goes all the way around.
