Who has upgraded the SV08 to the official enclosure?

What is your opinion? Is it worth it? Anything I should know?

I put the enclosed on and the temperature of the print are can definitely be heated up by the use of heat soaking. I printer ABS very easily by raising the bed temp to 80c and monitoring the first layer.

Listen to the precaution of taking off top covers and keeping doors open when printing pla. Why to hot inside when closeup.

Thanks! I just ordered the enclosure. My main reasons are dust prevention, draft prevention, heat retention, filaments that require an enclosure like ASA, and hoping it adds a little bit more structural rigidity..

i have on my max. i also put insulation between the plates. still lots of holes but does help a lot with higher temp filaments. i still need to install my chamber heaters, and i think they will make a bigger difference still. i have been printing both abs and asa. mostly having bed adhesion issues at around 50% of print. it would be a big deal to be able to isolate and stop printing on bad parts, so they do not interfere with still good ones. this has been a big problem. my bambu’s are able to do this. i want to keep bambu separate from my 8 max. I also noticed that some parts, even cloned ones will not lay a full tight 1st layer, and this seems to be a aggravating part of the problem. i am attempting new settings I hope may force this issue out. and using the 2.32 release, but the slicer as i noted elsewhere keeps crashing. So we will see. it would be nice to see the precision on my max that i see on my h2s’s. My h2s’s however I am having multiple parts failures, now the parts cooling fan!!! And these are fantastically small connectors and in very hard to see and reach places!!! bambu does a good job with design and function, but they do not realy think about just how hard to repair things can be. my 8 max does not have this problem!!! lol, just so big and heavy to move at all!!!

My only issue with my max is it is so big and heavy to move around. on the 8 max they need to relocate the usb/network.wifi and power plug so they do not interfere with a bulk spool holder. big sore point!!! i would also like to see more spare parts available. i can see the gantry wearing out in times to come, as i use my machines. Also the handles are now on the inside where they are useless. those also need to be relocated.

I have high hopes for my 8 max. And so far, support has been pretty good!!!

The holes are unavoidable I imagine and in some ways still necessary for the pressure I think? I don’t print much that requires high chamber temps.. mostly PETG and PCTG with an occasional ASA print. But the dust and drafts and warping on the large plate etc should be helped a bit by the enclosure.
