On day two of owning my SV08 (which is great!) I fitted the offcial enclosure. I really like the clean design and it does reduce the noise from the printer significantly. But it can be improved.
I noticed during one print that the panels will resonating at certain times - making more noise than ever before! The problem is that all three panels are not secured on the bottom edge. There is a small gap and that is is all that we need to have panels vibrate.
The solution is to place a thin strip of self adhesive foam along the botton folded edge. This closes the gaps to the base, stops the resonant vibration and also seems to supress some of the higher frequency noise too (panel vibrations?).
Day three, I calibrated eveythings, printed a PETG fan bracket and fitted an 80mm 24v the main board. Now the system is as quite. I’m having fun.
