SOVOL SV07 Plus Extruder Blockage

Hi,

I recently had some problems with my SOVOL SV07 Plus printer including an extruder blockage but was able to solve them quickly enough by replacing the entire extruder… I’d had problems before and had bought a spare Original All Metal Planetary Gear Direct Drive Extruder so I just switched it over which effectively removed the blockage.

Sometimes, it’s handy having spares, something I know from my IT years and current side business supporting home computer users so it would be nice if I can remove the blockage. My problem is that the blockage is right in the middle of the filament run and no amount of attempting to remove it with the filament run unblocker thing (no idea what it’s called) seems to shift it.

Any idea how I can unblock it?

Those little guitar string needles really don’t help much & are for the nozzle only.
Something like this might work, even thought you don’t have a clogged nozzle it does get pushed through the extruder.

I made one, but I haven’t had a need to use it, yet.

Thanks! I’ll try to get the metal rod first and if I get that print the STL.
