Hi there.
I have some issue with sd card.
There is an error while printing: sd card removed. Insert the sd card back to continue to print, or stop printing. Yes or no button. Took out sd cadr inserted back, nothing happened, did it few times. Pressed yes after, nothing happened. Tried to pause, but still nothing (not reacting) tried to replace filament and it stucked on printing settings. Formatted card (not the fast format ), copied the files back, after it just stops printing in random layers. Resliced stl to gcode again, formated, now it showing the same error. Again removed inserted back, pressed yes, goes back to printing screen and do nothing, again tried to pause, nothing happend. Tried to reload the filament, stucked again in printing setting where you can change filament
This is a sign that the SD Card is bad, replace it with another card.
Formatting won’t help, just toss it.
Tried to print another model, and it works fine. So it’s not about the sd card I think.
Sliced another model from thingiverse, and it’s finished printing well. So i don’t think that it’s about a card, and because it’s stucked on the print settings screen I don’t think that it’s models problem. The last time I tried to print this model i have made a new stl (made this model in fusion 360), sliced again, but as I already said it stopped printing with this error Tech support asking me about order number and do not provide support. Worst tech support ever. Will sell this buggy printer and buy a normal creality.
A buggy card will work off & on for awhile, till it won’t.
I didn’t put this in my post because once you say this, users won’t try another card…they will just come back & post again that it stopped working.
So, try another card or sell the printer…in the end it’s your choice.
Gotta still go through the steps.
You didn’t mention if you use an SD Card Extender or not.
If not, then your going to have to do a ticket with Sovol & they are gonna want the number off the bottom of the Power Supply. I’ve just sent them a picture, this way I have a record & don’t have to keep turning the printer over to get it.
From there, they will decide if they want you to re-flash the firmware or send you a new board.
Good Luck
How do I open a ticket?
Either email Sovol at : info@sovol3d.com
or
use the contact page: Contact Us – SOVOL
Got a new mainboard. Installed a new one, flashed, tried to print…same error and same issue
Reply to the email between you & Sovol, tell them it didn’t fix your issue.
