I’m VERY new to 3d printing, and frankly am a bit frustrated.
My SV06 Plus prints extremely well. The files included (benchie and lighthouse) print just fine, but so far every other file I have downloaded and tried to print, stop before completion.
Today, one stopped at 3 percent complete, another that I tried twice, stopped at 28 percent complete.
When I say stopped, I mean the print head and bed just stop moving.
As a means of ruling out a printer problem, I’ve just finished printing the “benchie” again and it fully completed.
Please offer ideas on resolving this. Thus far I’m wondering if it’s the slicer, and do I need to try another?
First of all: you are not trying to print .gcode files, right?
You are using .stl, .wmf or .amf and putting them through a slicer first?
Which slicer are you using?
Hi there,
I’m using downloadable files, then using the slicer included with the printer. I assume it’s some form of modified Cura and an stl file…
Ok, So what settings for printer, filament and profile are you using in Cura?
Thanks for your help.
I believe I may have found the issue. Should know later this evening.
It’s great knowing this forum exists if I have not figured this out.
Again, THANK YOU!
I would stop using that & just download the real Cura. The only drawback is that your print time will be a little slower.
I started out that way, but found the tabbed interface and excellent help popups to be much better organized and easier to find with the Prusa slicer.
