so i JUST got this printer put together, all the cables are where they need to be, plugged in and such. when i turn it on and do the first time auto home per the manual it does the x and y but the z axis does nothing. they are not locked when no power but gives me the error of “Auto-Home failed! Restart printer! check wiring on end stop switches and stepper motors for damage or disconnection.” what can i do?
First, re-check your cabling. Is the Z-axis cable / cables really plugged in?
You are going to laugh. It was the connector IN the black junction box, the lil booger managed to get knocked loose. Thank you for making me think of that
Not laughing - it has happened to most of us from time to time. Sometimes we just need to be reminded that it can be simple things.
Good that it got fixed.
Yeah its the simple things we dont think of. But seriously i appreciate the help
Thank you for reporting.
Got the printer yesterday, unboxed and assembled the printer (SV06+), turned it on, tried to align, Z Axis grind for a second and didn’t move.
Got the “Driver Error, reset the printer” on the display.
Checked and re-plugged all visible cable connections, same error.
After checking this post, I’ve opened the controller box and saw the loose connector for Z Axis not really connected/seated well.
Pressed it down and powered on the printer, Z Axis moved nice and quiet, and the alignment went through.
Hi,
So you can close your post.
