My Firmware Version 2.3.3 2024-04-27
A newly purchased SV08, here I followed the instructions accordung to the “WiFi Connection Operating Guide”
ssid and passwort is definitly korrekt and the distance to my WiFi repeater is only 3 meter.
Is there a possiblity to manually enter the IP into the machine Klipper firmware?
This is possible on another 3D Printer that I own with the RapRap Software.
Hi,
Why don’t you entered a static address in your router for your printer according with it’s MAC address?
With this solution, no need to touch the printer
You need the IP of the repeater…not your router.
Hi mich0111,
Where or how can I find the MAC address of the printer.
The IP is 127.0.0.1
If you’re in DHCP, you can find it on your router.
Otherwise, probably on the identification plate of the printer.
The 127.0.0.1 is defined as the device local address.
I eventually connected WLAN to my Router and also the MAC was shown.
There ist no MAC anywhere on the Labels of the printer. I installed a SV08 HDMI capacitive touch screen, with this called up the WLAN configuration and the Router even through my WLAN Repeater was recognized with the ssid, entered the PW and found my IP entering the Router. The problem was solved since the WiFi Connection with the Advance menu of the touch screen did not work at all. Thanks for everyone responding to my inquiry.
I’m really surprised that the MAC address of the printer is not indicated anywhere.
Normally, it’s mandatory.
Did you take a look inside the printer?
is the wifi running on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz or both ?
the SV08 only supports 2.4 GHz, but it will also see the 5 GHz networks in my experience.
If both frequencies use the same SSID it might fail, I created a separate SSID for it on the 2.4 GHz band to connect to.
Personaly I use the same SSID for both frequencies and it works perfectly.
My SV06 ACE uses the right frequency 2.4Ghz.
There is no Label on the underside. I did not remove the plate where the electronics and power is underneath. The MAC label could possibly have been in the vicinity of the WLAN module. It was also peculiar to me not having this information on the outsides or on the back labels.
I turned off the 5 GHz in my router and the WLAN connection did not work.
Activated both frequencies and the connection functioned as mentioned utilizing the SV08 HDMI capacitive touch screen. I have never encountered the fact that 5 GHz should not be present in order to connect to 2,4 GHz.
It doesn’t matter what the plate is with the MAC address.
You can find this address on your DHCP server (probably your router).
It did work for me at first, but all of a sudden it stopped working. This seems to solve the problem for me and other users that encountered the same
