New Printer not new?

Hi,

I bought a Sovol Zero and got it delivered today. The history in mainsail shows already over 33.printing hours. Is this normal? Also the part cooling fan is very dusty.

Best regards

Sovol does test their printers before they a packaged, but to what extent I don’t know.
This is why you will find filament in the hotend.

@sovol3d
Can you answer this ..??

Hello. Do you send an email to info@sovol3d.com? If did, please send me the order number and email account to me by message

I personally would be thrilled to have received a printer that an expert had spent 33 hours tuning.

Also the way the OS is installed, via imaging, if they forgot to zero out mainsail before imaging the “source” printer the target printer is going to show whatever hours were on the source.

You have some valid points. I give it a shot.and see how the printer will behave over time.

My printer also had 7 test prints in the history log. When I loaded black PLA filament, some white PLA was purged out. So yeah, it was tested at the factory. So what, Prusa does the same thing!

My Zero had several files listed in the print history, including a file that took 8:20 to print that was almost certainly the Zero’s speed boat Benchy, but all of the G code had been erased. I wish they’d left the speed Benchy G code, as it’s not included on the USB thumb drive. There were no sample G code files on my Zero’s USB drive. It’s customary to include a few test prints on the USB drive, and sometimes on the printer’s internal memory.

Just checked the one that I received today, shows 69 hours on it. I’ve printed two things (19 minutes total) lol.
