Hi,
This might be a silly question, but have you checked the connection settings?
what settings? i just turned on the printer as always and now it keeps looping with klipper connecting
Hi @mattlamp
Welcome to the forum, I don’t own a SV06 ACE but I’ve had a similar issue on my Sovol Zero printed fine, turned it off for the night, on boot the next day, connection errors.
For me, the disk was out of space. Clearing up some of the older .gcode files resolved the issue for me.
Cheers,
-Mike
Check your internet settings.
Do have your printer configured to be controlled from Orca Slicer?
The stock touch will not show klipper errors during the connection phase.
What do you get in the [Device] tab of Orca?
It doesnt show anything since it cant connect to the device
How can i access the internal files if it doesnt connect?
Internet settings are the same as before. The device doesnt seem to reach the point were it tries to connect to wifi, its a loop with klipper connect as seen on the video i shared
Background:
When you power on your printer 3 systems power on.
1.1) When the Kernel is up and running then SSH starts:
1.1.1) Klippy starts
1.1.2) Moonraker starts
1.1.3) Fluidd, Mainsail, KlipperScreen start (if loaded)
1.2) Klippy looks for the MCU.
1.3) Once connected klippy tells the MCU to initialize the display. Animation stops and screen displays home screen.
To help you recover your machine we need to know how far into the process you are getting.
Have you ever connected to your machine over SSH?
OR you can proceed to the nuclear option SV06 ACE image flashing tutorial | Sovol 3D Printer Wiki
I didnt try to connect via ssh, i can try if you can send me a guide.
As seen on my video The machine reachs the point where it displays klipper connecting, then for a brief moment shows nozzle and bed temps (normal temps) then it seems to disconnect and tries again (displays klipper connecting)
Google "how to use SSH on {my os}.
Pick a software or launch terminal and ssh sovol@{printer IP}
Password is sovol.
If the screen is switching to temperature display I’d expect the web UI to be up. Orca won’t show anything in the [Device] tab?
Orca wont show anything, cant connect to device. The machine shows temp display for a brief moment, then again 0/0 for both nozzle and bed and displays klipper connecting again. Its a loop
Did you get your printer sorted out? Have you reached out to Sovol support?
So finally yesterday i had time to try the “Nuclear” option and reflash the firmware! and it seems to have resolved the issue
I lost all my gcodes and needed to config some files again with the changes i made, but now it seems to print normally again.
Im glad it wasnt a hardware issue. I keep you guys updated after further testings
I would strongly suggest you have a USB storage device plugged in directly and store all your previous print codes on it as this will happen again if not when you eventually run out of space. As you found out unfortunately when that happens the “Nuclear” option is all that is left as SSH doesn’t connect.
