It works! Gotta tell you, I was worried. Couldn’t find any solid info, just hints, about using a G10 plate–and all the hints didn’t sound good. I finally just decided to go for it. An old, damaged plate and my finger on the Stop button. And…it just worked. No drama, no adjustments. Swapped out the stock PEI plate, put the G10-on-steel plate on, and printed. You can quit reading now. Just go buy one of these plates–G10 is the one plate to rule them all. Only reason to use anything else is if you want a texture on the bottom surface. PLA, PETG, and CoPE, so far. More types coming.
Please note the specifics here: eddy-NG, and a G10 surface backed by a steel plate, the steel nearly as thick as the stock buildplate.
