Dream printer, here's mine, what's yours?

Hello all,

I wanted to take a minute to describe my dream printer and give everyone a place to talk about their dream printer. I just thought this would be fun and give Sovol a good chance to see what kind of things the community wants.

My dream printer is actually very similar to the sv08. I don’t care much about multi-color 3d printing or having an airtight enclosure, but I do love the looks of the sv08 and all the features it has.

However, I would like to make a few changes to it for it to be my true dream printer.

First of all, I would actually make it smaller, I don’t mind breaking my prints into parts and glueing them together in post processing, especially since I have three printers already.
However, I don’t want it to be as small as the sovol Zero, that’s too small for me. I would like it to have the build volume of the sv07. I feel like that’s a great size that I have space for and can print most things.

The next thing I would change is I would give it a non-proprietary hot end set up, preferably one that would take mk8 nozzles. This would allow for me to use a large selection of nozzles that are already on the market (and in my toolbox lol).

Lastly, I would want it to be in the 300-400 USD price range, and I feel like that’s doable since as I said before I would like a smaller print volume anyway.

Other than that, I absolutely love the sv08. I like that it comes with a built-in camera, the fact that it’s running Klipper, that it’s fully open source in hardware and software. And, I even like the little things like that it has two usb ports and that it has an Ethernet port. The Ethernet port is something that so many people overlook but it’s really nice because if you lose internet, you can connect your computer directly to the printer using an Ethernet cable and still access Fluidd.

So, in summery my dream printer is to take the sv08 exactly as it is (especially keep the Ethernet port), then give it a smaller build volume (one that is the same as that of the sv07), give it a non-proprietary hot end set up that accepts mk8 nozzles, and lower the price to be in the 300-400 USD price range.

If a printer like that was released by Sovol or any other company for that matter, I would definitely pre-order it as soon as I saw it.

Now that you’ve read about my dream printer feel free to reply describing your own, and/or comment on what you think of mine.
