Display defect list

The display of the SV06 ACE is provided with closed software by the manufacturer MKS. If the software works smoothly, no one will have a problem with it. Unfortunately, there are a few problems and open display software would not be a bad idea for the open source printer. That is why we came up with the idea of creating a list of the problems. The idea behind this is to give @Sovol a means of exerting pressure with the list. The aim is to eliminate the defects and/or release the source for the display. Anyone who finds additional problems is invited to add them here. However, this is ONLY about listing them and not about eliminating the defects. That would rob the thread of its overview.
Danke!

here are the points so far:

  • Display blocks access to LED port
  • no open source
  • missing power button
  • night mode

I very much agree with the sentiment. Let’s also not forget that Sovol clearly states on the product page that the SV06 ACE is an open source printer.

At the moment there is some source, but also various components are missing. I would be happy to help get some of the sovol changes into the (real) open source tree, but @sovol3d really needs to put energy in open-sourcing all of the components including the MKS parts. This goes beyond the display.

In the light of Bambu and other competitors going to a more closed model, and the open source based success of the SV06 this is not just good for the users, but also good for Sovol. I would appreciate a statement from @sovol3d showing their commitment to making these components open source.
