Bi-Metal HeatSink/HeatBreak

I have seen them here on the Sovol website and I wanted to try them out since I am using Bjoern’s new firmware with its 300c limit. Unfortunately, they are not available for shipment to the US right now, only the EU. I also saw them here on Amazon, but the reviews are mixed. Some say that the diameter is 7mm and that the SV04 needs 8mm to fit, and others say the fit is perfect and that there are no problems.

… Has anyone here tried the Amazon ones, and if so, what has been your experience? Is the diameter of the part that goes into the heat sink the correct diameter or no?

These guys here:

I’m guessing you already tried it, but in case you haven’t (or for others who see this) I put in the Amazon bi-metal heat breads, and added hardened steel nozzles, and they are doing just fine with Bjoern’s firmware (I’ve run it up to 285 using PET, not PETG, so far). Soon I’ll be taking a crack at PET-CF (hence the hardened nozzles).

Respectfully,

James
