Auxilary fan not installed?

Hi all,

I have an SV08 Max, and after setup, I noticed it said there was no auxiliary fan installed. I can get the front and rear fans to spin up using the interface, but not the fan that’s on the heat block. Is that supposed to be the auxiliary fan? It appears to be connected fine.

Thanks.

Do you have the Sovol enclosure?

The hotend fan should start when the nozzle hits 45 °C

The Auxiliary and Exhaust fans are only used with an enclosure

Thanks, that’s what I thought was happening. Now to find a way to quiet down these insane mainboard fans. How on earth this thing shipped with these when every pre-review complained about them I’ll never know, haha. It’s like a jet engine.

Buy the Noctua fans, you can either stick with the 4010 and not do any modifications to the printer or go big like some have done. My printer is so much quiter than when I first got it. I replaced the two that it came with and will buy a 3rd for the spot where the pre-production models had a fan. I’ve seen some post that the Noctua doesn’t move as much air. If that is true the 3rd fan will be more than enough. But so far I am good with just the two fans.

I just did that, actually. Sacrificed the two 4010s that were in there for their fan connectors to make adapters. One for the Noctua over the AC bed heater, and the other to a connector for a line that will run to a Nevermore filter once I build an enclosure extension.

hey, you dont by any chance remember the wiring for the 4 pin jst to molex for the Noctua fan for the bed heater mosfets. Saves me having to work it out lol.

Cheers

Oh man, if I remember right it was straight across matching (you can almost see it in the picture). I just tested with a multimeter. Sorry!

Did you get your info. I posted a guide in the SV08 Max FB group.

No worries, thanks, ill have a lock next time i have the printer on its side. lol

Ok cool, thanks ill take a look.

Hope this helps
