Hello everyone,
I have some trouble regarding the Autohoming and leveling function. After a power fail the printer forgot the correct height of the Z Axis Nozzle. Everytime my printer will try to home / level the plate it will stick the nozzle into the printer bed. I tried a factory default reset, but had no luck. I am pretty new to the topic here so I would like to get some advice from you how to troubleshoot and solve the issue.
What I did so far:
- performed a manual set of Z Axis params via G Code Commands
- checked Z offset / tried to set values manually
- tried “the paper test” > fails with the stucked nozzle
- tried autohome
environment:
- Octoprint
- Sovol SV06 Plus
- Printer Firmware V1.1.5 (Marlin Version 2.0.9.2)
(edited due to non exact environment definition)
I had this also a time ago. The vertical detector on the printhead was moved a little bit.

Did you remember to save the settings after performing the automatic leveling?
Hi and thanks for the quick reply. I had no “save” button or similar. I tried to do it via G-Code Command, but had no luck. Therefore I consider either I missed a peace according to the leveling guide here, but I do not see my mistake.

I don’t own the SV06, but I do have the SV06+, and I haven’t used it in a long time.
But, if I remember correctly, when I was performing an automatic leveling, I think there was a “Save” button at the end that you could easily forget to click.
Unfortunately, I’m on vacation right now, so I can’t give you the exact steps.
One more thing, have you taken a look here:

Also pay attention to the LED on the proximity switch. If the light doesn’t come on before the nozzle touches the bed then it is defective.
Hi there,
I have tested along with the manual again and was able to figure out, that the sensor for z Axis has been to high. So right now levelling will work fine and I can save the config. While I am using octoprint after slicing from Orca I run into same issue. After a print the sensor will not measure the endpoint correctly. So if I will print and want to home the head again it will immediately fail. So after a reboot everythings fine again.
Is it correct, that this will happen?
