I wanted to get the latest sovol cura and I’d like to also see if anyone made any good start profiles. ABS and PLA are fine but PETG, CF, etc. need adjustments. The point in having profiles is to share with others I’d think, is anyone doing that?
It looks like they are moving everything to WIKI, but it’s not finished yet.
This guy Chep shares a bunch of profiles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM_jdsx5yFc
There is another guy, Troy who shares some interesting things about specialty 3D Print slicing: https://www.youtube.com/@TroyMcMillan/videos
CAUTION: The retraction for the Sovol SV06 needs to be 0.5mm or less. I keep mine at 0.4mm to be safe. Any profiles that you get need to have the “retraction” checked and adjusted to 0.5mm or less. The SV06 is pretty advanced compaired to the standard Ender 3, so it takes some skimming to get to relavent information.
Asside from that, Slicer Profiles are pretty organic. Increased speed, requires more heat. Less speed requires less heat. It takes practice and experience to get used to changing the settings. I print PETG at 90mm/s, 0.25mm first layer, 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm layer width, 240c & 80c. I print TPU at 50mm/s, 0.25mm first layer, 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm layer width, 235c & 60c.
