hey so i just got my SV07 like a week ago and have been trying to set up a webcam with Octoprint running on my PC and i got the webcam to work just fine but am having trouble connecting my printer to my PC I’ve tried SSH with MobaXterm and a USB C cable and my PC will see that its on a COM port but wont connect if any body has any tips that would be great.
so now im trying to SSH into it so i can download octoeverywhere
You have a SV07 with the Klipad50?
If so it is not really setup for constant connection to a PC except over a network.
Yes klipper will connect with Octoprint but Mainsail and Fluid are already installed in the Klipad and ready to go.
The Klipad IS a (low performance) PC running Armbian Linux and can support a camera plugged into the side.
Step 1 is to get connected to WIFI using the touch screen on the Klipad. (Linux doesn’t like SSIDs with underscore (_) in them.
Step 2 is to write down the IP address and then goto ANY PC, phone, tablet. or even a smart TV (on the same network) and put the address where the URL would normally go.
If you really want Octoprint SSH into the Klipad and run kiauh. It will install octoprint.
so I’ve sort of changed gears with this and am trying obico and i got my printer to connect but i cant get the webcam to show up
Yes I also put it in the moonraker Config
do you have any setting suggestions that might make it work
You said in OP that camera was connected to PC. Did you move the plug to Klipad?
On another note camera connects to Crowsnest THEN to web client. Klipper doesn’t actually know anything about cameras.
Web client connects to Moonraker AND Crowsnest then formats the 2 onto a web page.
